Chryso's Eco-Friendly Beauty Buys: Lipstick by Chryso D'Angelo, August 06 2014, 0 Comments

With fall right around the corner, our wondering eyes are already looking to the hottest cool-air fashions and makeup trends being featured in this month’s glossy magazines and on Web sites and blogs.

When it comes to clothing and accessories, the Huffington Post points to mini dresses, faux gold jewelry, animal prints, neon and pastels (yup, don’t say goodbye to those summer colors altogether!)

And when it comes to making a bold statement in makeup, get ready to smooth on the latest in lip color!

While the humid dog days of summer seem to make lipstick slide right off my kisser, the crisp fall air makes it a pleasure to wear. On trend for your pout this autumn season, according to the pros at Allure.com:

• Pinkish-purple stained lips, as seen on the Carolina Herrera fall runway. To get the look, swipe lipstick on and then blot it away

• Intense, red lips, as seen on the Anna Sui runway. Layer it on to create a bold, Art-Deco look

• Glittery brown lips, as seen on the Rodarte runway. Think 1980s punk. Start with a brown shade, then top it with loose glitter

Whichever color you choose, be sure to pick a lipstick that’s as healthy as possible for your body. Avoid lipsticks that contain traces of lead, a toxin that can affect the nervous system and cause blood and brain disorders after prolonged exposure.

For healthy, nourished, trendy lips that will leave you with a true reason to smile, check out the safe cosmetics I have featured here:
